Electrostatic dust can carry electrical charges as little as 250 volts and can cause data memory loss and damage to sensitive micro circuitry. Metal dust, zinc whiskers and tiny ferrous metal slivers are a constant threat present in all Data Centers. Airflow from precision cooling systems distributes these conductive substances becoming airborne and deposited on electronic components. Cement dust and silicate dust from unsealed or improperly sealed subfloors, exposed drywall as well as print operations all pose significant risks.
Improper cleaning chemicals, over-humidification, leaks or condensation from mechanical lines leads to the formation of rust particles in the Data Center. Rust particulates can easily become airborne allowing this conductive metal to contaminate sensitive electronic equipment causing downtime to servers and other sensitive equipment in a Data Center.
Dust and other small particulate can look like smoke to sub-floor fire detectors causing fire suppression release (such as HALON & FM200) to occur erroneously. After a release, it is critical to bring in an experienced team to remediate the resulting contamination to insure proper re-start of the Data Center.
Precision computer room cooling equipment is different from comfort cooling systems found in office spaces. Indoor air quality / sick building syndrome are directly connected to the removal of particulate contamination.
Our specialized cleaning services are performed while your data center is still running - so no downtime is required. Our technicians are specifically trained to work in live data center environments according to industry and ISO Standard Protocol. DRC Cleaning Service understands that every facility has unique needs, so we tailor our services to fit your company.
Get the schedule you need. We provide schedules to compliment your workflow - from once a year to daily programs day or night – DRC Cleaning Service has your solution.
There is more to data center cleaning than making something appear clean to the human eye. For proper operations of IT equipment cleaning must be performed to the microscopic level and tested to confirm accuracy. DRC cleaning service technicians are trained according to ISO Standard 14644. Each employee is required to maintain continuing education to stay informed on the latest in technology, specialized cleaning equipment and best practices for working in data centers.
DRC cleaning service utilizes specifically formulated chemicals designed for data centers and their unique environment. Some commercialized chemicals (that claim to be data center safe) promote corrosion, potentially environmentally harmful, leave unwanted residues and likely create static issues.
